ABOUT US
The Anchor is a place where you can grow in God's grace while you walk in God's mercy. This is the place where you can heal from the troubles of life while you find the strength to become everything God intended for you to be.
We are a Pentecostal church in doctrine, message, and purpose.
As a congregation of believers, we gather together and worship the Lord by singing, clapping, and rejoicing in praise to a great God who has brought us into His kingdom. We believe that every day we should strive to be Christ-like in all areas of our lives.
WHO WE ARE
The Anchor is a spirit-filled church that believes God still gives people His power to overcome their mistakes
We believe that as a child of God we can live our lives in a way that will honor Him as we study the Bible and allow the Word of God to become our road map. God takes us as we are then He transforms us into what He wants us to be.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
WE BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE PLAN OF SALVATION.
We believe that there is still power in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that the Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. When we repent of our sins and ask God's forgiveness, He is faithful to forgive us of all sin. Then we are buried with Christ in baptism beneath the name of Jesus Christ where our sins are washed away by the blood of Calvary. And, finally, that we are resurrected into a new life by completing the born-again experience when we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit just like the disciples in Acts chapter 2.
Everyone is welcome at The Anchor regardless of race, culture, past mistakes, or ethnic background. The Bible teaches in Revelation 7:9, After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.
